Rant:

People like this really need to sit their asses down, and shut the fuck up.  Making fun of people for their race?  Are you kidding me?  I’d make some synical joke about your age, but not even 4 year olds make jokes like this.  Where do people learn to be racists?  Where do they come across the idea that it’s funny to laugh at someone that looks different than themselves?

I think it’s funny when “white” people tell “asian” people to go back to where they came from.  Some lady at The Real Canadian Superstore said that to my mom the other day.  Now I know that if it was me, I would have probably opened a bottle of maple syrup, dumped it on her head, then proceed to sprinkle rice over her, but of course, my mother doesn’t have time to waste on the everyday idiot.  Unless you are of First Nations descent, you really need to sit the fuck down, and shut the fuck up, because this isn’t your “home” anymore than it is mine.  My mother is a first generation Chinese born Canadian, and she speaks fluent English, as well as Cantonese.  She is a teacher for the Vancouver School Board, and one of the smartest people I know.  She isn’t a bad driver, and I was never beaten with chopsticks, so if anyone out there would like to say anything about “asian women,” please, say it to my face.

When people run around my school making videos like this (yes, I am in the video, and yes, it was at the part with the dancing white girl) it makes me sick.  Since when was anyone on display for you to openly make fun of?  Since when was race ever anything to make fun of?  I’m mixed, and I’m proud to be a part of 2 different cultures.  So is a white girl going to come up to me, and laugh because I’m asian?  Or is an asian girl going to come up to me and laugh because I’m white?  If they know what’s good, they won’t.  But seeing this, this just makes me want to vomit.  I feel terribly sorry that people like this will get on with their lives when I finally escape their immaturity thinking they were so cool to run around capturing a bunch of Chinese and Japanese kids on camera.

And the loser comments, and the special needs comments.  Don’t even get me started.  I eat lunch there with my friends everyday because it’s about 10x quieter than any other hallway in my school.  I’m not a loser, and I don’t have special needs.  But I think most people agree that these girls are being losers, and one day someone they love will encounter special needs, and then who’ll be talking?

Kids need to learn to get the fuck over themselves.  Despite what anyone tells you, there is nothing in this world that makes you better than any of the people you laugh at.  But I think there is something that makes you worse: the fact that none of them are waving a camera in your face.  Class act, bitch.
